Cette fois, c’est parti ! Samedi soir, devant un public encore plus nombreux que douze mois auparavant, le Liège-Rome-Liège 2018 a pris son envol officiel à Spa, pour une première étape de nuit, suivie dans la foulée d’un périple en direction de Sulden, au nord de l’Italie, entre Suisse, Autriche et Liechtenstein. Le moins que l’on puisse dire, c’est que la notion de ‘Marathon de la Route’ a d’emblée pris tout son sens, les équipages accumulant tests de régularité et liaisons, pour arriver - épuisés - au bout de cette première partie de course.

Comme on pouvait le présager, la qualité du plateau a beaucoup progressé par rapport au Liège-Rome-Liège 2017, de sorte que la lutte pour la victoire est plus ouverte que jamais. Ce qui n’a pas empêché Christian Crucifix et Yves Noelanders, derniers vainqueurs en date, de déjà pointer au sommet du classement avec leur Ford Anglia, comptant 123,8 points de pénalité, contre 148,2 à Yves et Benoît Deflandre (Porsche 911) et 153,9 points à Stéphane Blaise et Patrick Lienne (Porsche 911). Le ton est donné…

« Pour cette première partie d’épreuve, il ne fait aucun doute que les hommes et les machines ont déjà été mis à rude épreuve, explique Jean-François Devillers, responsable de la société Trajectoire organisatrice de l’événement. Et pourtant, sportivement, ce n’était qu’une mise en jambe. Je me félicite par contre de constater qu’aucun abandon n’a été à déplorer durant cette étape initiale, preuve que les équipages ont particulièrement bien préparé cette édition. »

Ce début d’épreuve a également servi de première étape pour le ‘Tribute To Liège-Rome-Liège’, réservé à des équipages ne disputant que les RT tracés en Belgique. Et c’est le célèbre duo composé de Daniel Reuter et Robert Vandevorst (Porsche 914/6) qui mène la danse devant Georges et Jean-François Neuville (BMW 2002) d’une part, Olivier Goblet et Vincent Snyers (Fiat 128) de l’autre.

Ce lundi, la caravane du Liège-Rome-Liège 2018 prendra la direction du Lac de Come en attaquant la journée par l’ascension du Col du Stelvio, dans des paysages qui promettent d’être tout aussi exceptionnels que ce dimanche.

1.       Dates

Online registrations are open from 1st October 2018 and will close on 8th May 2018.

 
2.       Entry fees & accommodation

The entry fees are defined in the entry form and cover the fixed entry fee, the choice of accommodation and any additional options.

The entry fee is € 2,495 for 2 people excluding option and possible discounts. The accommodation costs are € 980 for a double or twin room.
 
Are included for the crew:
General organization - Sports support - Insurance - All lunches - Luggage transport - Official dinners in Beaune on Tuesday 11 June 2019.


individual benefits

Registration until 15.11.2018:                                                                                       - 150 euros

team advantage

Group registration of 3 crews:                                                                                      - 100 euros / car

- the discount is offered to each crew,
- the reduction will be cancelled if one of the 3 crews renounces to participate.

Any participant who sponsors a new crew not having taken part in the editions

CONDITIONS:

- these advantages are granted only with the payment of a deposit of 1000 euros at the time of receipt of the invoice.
 

3.       Hotel rates guarantee

The prices of the hotel packages are valid until 1 April 2019.
Thereafter, the prices will be adjusted according to the availability of the hotels and the prices charged at the time of your request.
 

4.       Official assistance rate

One of the options proposed includes access to official mechanical assistance in the evening.

To benefit from the preferential rate of € 275, the competitor must choose this option when registering, and at least before the start of the rally.

However, it will also be possible to request official assistance in case of breakdown during the rally itself without having opted for this service previously at the price of € 500 payable on the spot.


5.       Invoicing terms and conditions

 Each entry application will be subject to an invoice that includes your choices, and driver, navigator or company details as stipulated by the crew in the online application.

VAT:

For the option including accommodation, there is no VAT added, as this service is subject to the special arrangements for taxation of the profit margin (Art. 56bis of the Luxembourg VAT code).


6.       Deposit and balance

Upon acceptance of the application, an invoice will formalise the organisation's agreement to the participation of the crew with the vehicle proposed.

The payment deadlines are as follows:

1.       For registration before 15th January 2019:

a.       The € 1000 deposit invoice, sent within days of your registration, must be paid upon receipt to benefit from the preferential rate.
b.       In January, you will receive a second invoice for the balance of the registration fees, options and hotel costs.
          50% of the amount to be paid by 31 January 2019.
          The balance is due by March 31, 2019.
c.       Any other subsequent orders must be paid for upon receipt of the corresponding invoice to be accepted.

 
2.       For applications from 16th February 2019:

a.       50% deposit to be paid upon receipt of the invoice.
b.       Balance to be paid no later than March 31, 2019.
c.       Any other subsequent orders must be paid for in cash to be accepted.


3.       For applications from 1st April 2019 :

The invoice must be paid in full upon receipt.
 

7.       Cancellation/refunds

In case of cancellation of entry by a competitor, the following rules shall apply:

-          If cancellation is made prior to 15th  December 2018:                       Refund in full
-          If cancellation is made prior to 31st  January 2019:                           Refund of 75 % of the entry fee
-          If cancellation is made between 1st Feb. and 31 March 2019 :           Refund of 50 % of the entry fee
-          If cancellation from 1st April 2019:                                                     No refund

Furthermore, no amount will be refunded in case of cancellation made for any reason beyond the organiser's control.

Any invoice issued shall be considered as due.

If cancellation is made before payment of the invoice, it shall remain due in accordance with the cancellation terms stipulated above.

In case of dispute, the matter will be referred to our legal department and the participant shall be liable for any debt recovery costs.
